Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited (“Sunbeam Canada”,
“we”, “us” or “our”)
takes steps to ensure it meets privacy principles and requirements with

other individuals we deal with (“you” or “your”)
how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information.

information in Canada. This statement does not apply to information about
our employees or to information that is not personal information.
Personal Information We Collect
Sunbeam Canada and its agents and representatives collect personal
information in a number of circumstances in the course of providing products
and services to our customers. Personal information we collect includes:
- name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other contact
information collected, for example, through our customer rebate forms,
through our call centres when a customer requests warranty or other
services, through online and offline contest entry forms or through
other features of our websites;
- information about products you have purchased, for instance if you
request warranty services;
- the age of contest entrants;
- optional demographic information we may request through our website,
on contest forms or through surveys to understand our customers better,
for example biographical information such as age, marital status,
education or household income, or other information about your
interests, activities, past purchases of our products or similar
information;
- and otherwise with consent or as permitted or required by law.
Use of Personal Information
Sunbeam Canada generally uses personal information for the following
purposes:
- providing warranty and replacement services or other customer
service when an individual contacts us for this purpose, which involves
use of contact information and information about the particular product
purchased,
- managing, administering and processing mail-in rebates, including
verifying product eligibility and protecting against fraud,
- managing and administering contests, including verifying
eligibility, prize fulfilment and use of name and likeness of prize
winners for promotional purposes,
- conducting surveys, including online, by telephone or through our
contests, in order to better understand our customers and their
interests,
- if you have opted to receive such materials, sending additional
product information, offers and promotions regarding our products and
services or those of our affiliates by electronic or regular mail,
including tailoring these marketing initiatives to meet individual
interests based on additional information you have voluntarily provided
about you or your interests (for instance through surveys and contests),
- maintaining business records for reasonable periods, and generally
managing and administering our business,
- meeting legal, regulatory, insurance, security and processing
requirements.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information
Personal information may be disclosed to our parent company American
Households, Inc. or other affiliates in Canada and the U.S., including for
internal audit, management, billing or administrative purposes.
Personal information may also be transferred to outside agents or third
party service providers to provide database information management, call
centre services or other information processing services on our behalf,
including outside of Canada. Some of our services (including call centre
services) may be provided by our affiliates in the U.S., such as American
Households, Inc, Sunbeam Products, Inc. or Coleman Powermate, Inc.
We take reasonable measures to ensure that your personal information that
may be collected, used, disclosed or otherwise processed by these service
providers or affiliates on our behalf is protected and not used or disclosed
for purposes other than as directed by Sunbeam Canada, subject to
requirements in foreign jurisdictions applicable to those organizations.
Personal information may be used by Sunbeam Canada and disclosed to
parties connected with the contemplated or actual financing, securitization,
insuring, sale, assignment or other disposal of all or part of Sunbeam
Canada or our business or assets, including for the purposes of permitting
such parties to determine whether to proceed or continue with such
transaction, fulfilling reporting, inspection or audit requirements or
obligations to such parties, and use disclosure of your personal information
by such parties for substantially the same purposes as described in this
statement.
Sunbeam Canada may otherwise disclose personal information as necessary
to meet legal, regulatory, insurance, audit and security requirements, with
your consent, or as permitted or required by law.
The Internet
Sunbeam Canada operates certain websites, (for example
www.colemancanada.ca
&
www.oster.ca)
and Canada-specific areas of certain websites shared with our international
affiliates (typically found when you click "Canada" as your location when
visiting one of our international brand websites). These Canadian websites
(or "Canada" areas of brand websites) provide information about our products
and services and at which you can request further information, request
customer support, enter contests or make other inquiries. Personal
information you voluntarily provide through our websites is used as
described in "Use of your Personal Information" above, including to respond
to your inquiries, fulfill your requests, administer online contests and
surveys, to send you further periodic information about our products and
services (if you have chosen that option), and if you provide further
information requested, to learn about our customers' interests and
preferences and provide you with information and offers suited to those
interests and preferences.
Children (under the age of
majority). Coleman Canada does not knowingly collect, use or retain
any personal information from visitors to our websites who are under the age
of majority. Where appropriate, we will instruct children not to submit
information to our websites or advertisements. We will delete any records of
any such personal information that comes to our attention. If it comes to
your attention that your child has provided any personal information to our
websites, we invite you to notify us by contacting us as described below
(see “Opt Out” in this section or “Access, Corrections and Contacting Us”
further below) or by contacting us via the “Contact Us” section of the
website, so that we may delete the information from our records and
discontinue any related features or services.
Parents should supervise their children's online activities and consider
using parental control tools available from online services and software
manufacturers that help provide a kid-friendly online environment. These
tools can also prevent children from disclosing online their name, address
and other personal information without parental permission.
Anonymous Information Collected
Automatically. In general, you can visit our websites and view their
content while remaining anonymous by not providing any personal information.
In some cases, we may collect information about you that is not linked with
an identifiable individual. Examples of this type of information include the
Internet browser you are using, the type of operating system, the domain
name of the website which linked you to our site, and the pages you visited
while you were using the website. When collected, we use non-personally

Sunbeam Canada does not directly operate the websites “sunbeam.com”,
“colemanpowermate.com” or other websites associated with other brands of our
parent company, American Household, Inc., which are made available through
our affiliates in the U.S. and other countries. In addition, Sunbeam Canada
does not operate or control those areas of websites shared with our U.S. or
international affiliates that are not indicated as intended for Canadian
customers. This privacy statement only applies to Canadian websites or
Canadian areas of brand websites controlled by Sunbeam Canada. For more
information about the personal information and privacy practices associated

Your Consent
