Spout to short for extreme cooler
Didn’t fit, the spout was too small for the extreme cooler- the cap was all I really needed anyway, so keep the old spout and the rest fits fine.

Coleman is the best
The drain plug arrived and was easy to install. I really appreciate Coleman listing all the models this plug would fit. Our Coleman cooler is pretty old but the plug fits perfectly and has saved us from having to throw out a perfectly good cooler. Any outdoor item we need in the future will definitely be a Coleman. It's great to see a company make quality products and stock any replacement part you may need due to normal wear and tear.

Only received half the order.
I ordered two drain assemblies and only received one. In addition the sizing is vague so its difficult to determine which to buy.

good transaction
Would have given 5 stars, but just not the same quality as the one removed from the cooler. The old one was just plain warn out, became brittle, and broke. The new one uses a plastic strip instead of a hinge and is not as sturdy. Price was good, transaction was easy and item arrived in the lowest estimated time. I'm OK with this transaction and happy to be able to replace the drain rather than junk the cooler.

Part does not fit my Coleman cooler
There were 2 numbers on my cooler, I could not find the part based on the first number,, so I ordered it based on the second number and it does not fit.

Perfect fit - and exactly what was needed

Wrong Part
The description for this part on Coleman's website clearly lists the plug as compatible with Xtreme Cooler model 6270. The part I was sent only goes up to 6268. In other words it is TOO SHORT for the width of the walls of my cooler. Irritating. If you are shopping for parts for cooler model 6270, look elsewhere.

My original drain assembly was the hinged type and it lasted thirty plus years. I have no doubt this replacement will come close to that and will probably out last me! Thanks for making quality outdoors items that last!

Repaired a 50 year-old Coleman Cooler!
I borrowed a Coleman cooler from my parents and broke the drain plug. I was thrilled to find a replacement! The parts don’t come with any directions, but I found a video on YouTube that showed exactly how to replace the old plug.

This part is a perfect replacement. I had a little trouble getting the old one out but once it got started, the rest was so easy. So convenient that all Coleman cooler replacement parts are standard, no matter what model.

Plug replacement
Perfect replacement for the drain plug on my extreme 5 cooler, BUT, just be aware...replacing this is NOT an easy task. Had difficulty removing the old one. Once that was removed, the new one was easy to install.

Drain assembly for old cooler
Replacement drain assembly was easy to install. My old cooler was not listed as being compatible, but it was the exact size of the old one. Perfect fit. I got an extra one for another cooler as a spare.

Stops the leak and saves the cooler
Works as replacement in newer coolers (older ones seem smaller so I haven't tried removing those that are borken yet) and even repaired an IGLOO (sticks out a bit but seals nonetheless).
