Its a workhorse
As a coast to coast commercial truck driver, I have used the Powerchill coolers since 2010. They do a good job of keeping dairy products and bottled and canned drinks cool. Even frozen microwave meals stay solid for a couple days. The cooler the outside air, the cooler the contents will stay. This cooler will freeze items as it cools to about 40 degrees under the ambient air temperature. These last about a year, plugged in 24 hours a day, five or six days a week. Ive had one fan failure and all the others have been the cigarette lighter plug wearing out. The plug is usually very hot when its plugged in.

....Great investment...Good price!!!
....I've been using (1) Thermal cool/heater and (2) cold coolers 24-7 for over 2 years!!! One AC/DC power supply failed recently....but....no fan failures!!!! I bought extra front mounted fans and some internal 60mm x 60mm x 10mm 12 volt fans from Amazon...(just in case) ....'Just in case' .... I depend on them.... We like them!!!! Thanks for being out there!!! Semper Fi! Godspeed!!! (SFGS) You want a 'COLD' beer?????? I'm a HAM operator and have a number or 'High Amp' AC/DC Switching Power Supplies..... Great for over the road drivers
While it is not intended to operate 24/7, this cooler does extremely well. It cools 40 degrees below ambient air so it will freeze contents if the a/c is blasting. I found it will cool more efficiently if you can get it off the hot floor or set it on a rug.
The secret to longevity is to remove the fan housing and blow the fan with your air gun. A good indication is when the inside fan housing starts to ice up.
Try to keep the contents between 32-40 degrees so the food doesn’t spoil. If you get a year out of it running 24-7 you’ve gotten your money’s worth.

Versatile and Convenient
Using it standing up or on its side, there's plenty of room for all your essentials to stay cold during the drive and at your destination for your entire trip. The motor is not loud and no need to keep buying ice every other day. You really need to get the adapter too so that you can plug it in when you get to your destination, as it only comes with the cable to connect to your 12V car plug. The unique thing about this cooler is that you can change the door to open it from the other direction if you want it to. The only thing lacking is the ability to carry it easily when it is in the standing up position. The handgrips it has are for carrying it in the side position. Really a must-have to compliment your essentials for camping, RVing, boating, etc.

Cheap and disposable
The fan on the outside of the cooler is the first failure point, usually at about the 6 month range. The fan on the inside seems to last longer, and fails around 9 months to year from my experience. By replacing the fans with 12v computer fans I have managed to get one cooler to function well past a year. but that is the only way that I have seen to get it to last that long.

Not cool!
first year were cool about 30° below ambient temperature. And no matter what I do I cannot get it to cool more than 10° now. There are no service Emanuels nor parts available.
Dear Coleman, Consider adding additional cooling on opposite side increasing the size of the cooling plates (not just heat synk) and adding a X ternal adjustable control on your lower models and upper model with built in internal digital readout of internal thermometer. Yes, This will make it a refrigerator. Also, if you use close cell foam we might be able to also get better cooling efficiency.

Works fine for my use.
I use it year-round in the back of my Subaru Outback,lying flat with the cover on top, plugged into the electric plug there. It keeps things cool in the summer and keeps from freezing in the winter. It,of course, is only powered when the car is running, so things do warm up a bit over-night, though not a lot.

Tellement efficace que vos fruit vont geler
Acheter il y a maintenant 4 ans et tout va pour le mieux. Elle a servis pour le camping, à la plage et même à Noël pour la liqueur donc plusieurs longues heures par années. La seule chose que j'ai du faire avec les années c'est changer le ventilateur extérieur, il avait commencer à faire du bruit à cause de la poussière des cheveux ect. Comme le titre le mentionne ne pas mettre les petits fruits coller sur le refroidisseur il vont geler et je peux vous dire que j'ai déjà eux de la viande encore geler après 4 jours de camping grâce à cette glacière.
