Dissapointing
We were very excited to use this coffee pot while camping as an alternative to a french press system. Sadly, out of a 5 day camping trip we managed only to get one good (decent) cup of coffee out of the kit. The water flowed down the sides or out of the top instead of dripping through the filter and into the pot. At first we thought it was because the kit was not level and so we spent a great deal of time making sure the pot was on a level surface. This did not make a difference. We placed a tray under the kit and at the end of one of the brewing processes for 8 cups there was more coffee in the tray (about half a cup) than in the pot. Very sad.

No major complaints
My wife bought this for me for a Christmas gift and I have used it for two camping seasons. I have no major complaints but the ignitor did quit working, which isnt a big deal because I never trust them anyways and just use an "aim-a-flame". The one thing my wife also purchased was a steel coffee pot. I think Coleman shouldnt even have a glass one because that is asking for complete disaster. It does take a little longer to brew but the way I look at it is, when I go camping I go to slow down and relax if that means just a few extra minutes, no problem. The taste of the coffee is good and it is faster then the old school camp fire perkulator.

Major disappointment!
My kids gave me this for Mother's Day and I was super excited. First camping trip with the family I got it out and made coffee. The lid above the water reservoir warped, as it perked it spit hot water out of the top, took a very long time to finish perking, and when it did finish we had to add several more cups of water and wait again for it to finish (so much had "spit" out the top). Sad to say, but it was not a quality Coleman product.

Pretty good coffee pot
I bought this coffee pot to take deer hunting. We had really cold weather with a lot of wind this year. The coffee took a really long time to brew because it was so cold. If I put it in the back of my truck that has a topper it was much better. I think for the most part this coffee pot will work great camping in the outdoors.

Durable and high quality...Coleman
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Coleman Quikpot Propane Coffeemaker and I love the overall color scheme and design. It has a high quality look and is heavy duty. It is easy to clean and fill with the removable filter basket. It includes a 10 cup glass carafe so it makes plenty of coffee. You can have fresh brewed coffee in 18 minutes or if you can't wait it has a nice pause 'n' serve feature. This product has a convenient InstaStart push button, matchless lighting feature and lasts 4.5 hours on high on one 16.4 ounce propane cylinder. This is a high quality, convenient, durable product that I would recommend to a friend.

Bad purchase
I purchased this coffee maker because we were camping with another family and needed more coffee! The coffee took forever to brew. The water would fill up in the drip cup and not drain into the pot. If we sat and used a long stick to push the lever we could brew the coffee. All the pieces are plastic and just don’t work well. I would not recommend this product. We will be going back to percolator coffee.

No Stainless Carafe
This is an adequate camping maker. It does take about 15 minutes to brew 10 cups (6 oz), and it puts out a decent coffee. It does take a little experimentation to get it the way you want it, but then it is OK. However, I will NOT recommend this new model. The old model came with a stainless steel carafe, and this model has a glass carafe. If you're camping, the last thing you want is a glass carafe. Darn shame. Wake up Coleman, you had a good product and you sacrificed quality for a few extra bucks. This might be OK at home when there is a power outage and you have a camp stove, but it is definitely no longer good for car camping. There are too many other ways to brew coffee at camp.

Disappointed
Bought this because of the Coleman name. However, was so disappointed. This lasted one camping trip! During our next use, the regulator isn't working - and doesn't seem there's a replacement. What a waste

I have the quick pot propane coffeemaker. In the bottom of the water reservoir there is a valve. Went to use the pot and noticed this valve has come out. &nbsp;Which way does it go back in, one side is flat other side has a tip on it? Thx for any info.
