Searing a Steak?... grill size is perfect.
I received this as a birthday present last year. We determined, because there is seldom a time when we entertain more than two people, this compact grill will sit comfortably on my back deck railing with a supporting piece of wood to allow it to be attached to the external propane bottle without difficulty. I'm a Sous Vide cooker so the grill is primarily used to sear the steaks after preparing them. A couple of minutes on each side and the perfect steak is delivered.
We took this grill with us recently on a camping trip and although it is small in size by comparison to many charcoal grills, we were able to prepare breakfast for a family of 5 within minutes.
I would like to have a flat grilling surface for doing eggs or pancakes but unfortunately, that is not an accessory. Still, the purchase of a coated flat pan accomplished the desired results.

Grill coated with teflon? Does not say.
Info says "simple and quick clean up" but does NOT say what the grill is made of or coated with. Youtube reviews say it's coated with teflon. This would be a great product if one could get a cast iron or stainless steel grill that could be purchased to replace the non-stick coated grill.

The grate actually melted
2nd time using this stove and the whole grate melted. What kind of metal is it that can’t take the heal from boiling a pot of water? I really want my money back.

Unbelievable piece of equipment
I bought a model like this is early 2012 and it never disappoints. It will light when it needs to and cook whenever, wherever! This piece of equipment was a real life saver after hurricane Sandy hit us. We were out of power for 21 days, but thanks to this piece of equipment we always had hot food, were able to boil water, and so much more. The family was well taken care of considering the conditions. We are now in 2018 and it is still doing the job. We did plenty of outdoor cooking at parks or at tailgate parties and this little piece always performed outstandingly. It is literally with its weight in gold! The stove top piece is a must have and I couldn’t be more happy with it. I strapped it to my pack on a two week wilderness hiking trip and had four tanks with me and it endured through, mud, rain, being dropped a few times, but it never let us down. Since I bought it we used it over 60 times. I do recommend to lay out a layer of aluminum foil to keep the grease from dripping meats from burning into the run off surface. I’ve been doing that since I bought it and after 6 years it looks hardly used (after it’s been through so much). You also need to clean the burners every so often, but that’s easily done with a wire brush and some tooth picks. I love this thing and will definitely by the same model again if this one ever stops working. Great job Coleman!

Where's the griddle?
This grill and stove worked beautifully when used but my issue is that the box shows a griddle as an accessory. But I can find it nowhere, not even on the Coleman website. Please put the griddle out there so that I can order one.

Owned for 30 years and still works great!
I’ve camped with tents, vans, pop ups, travel trailers and motorhomes since I’ve been a youngster. Coleman was really the only brand I knew of when I was that young. As I became old enough to purchase my own stuff Coleman was what I bought. And the Coleman propane stove was one such item. After 30 years it still works great! It has a cover to help block air so cooking so cooking is easier. There is 2 burners which is perfect! I’ve been able to use the stove in snow and rain too.
I know when I buy Coleman products I’m buying quality products. 30 years attests to the quality

Fast and user friendly
I took it to a sandbar and camped. On the lowest setting for the range and the grill, i had bacon and eggs in 5 minutes. There is some good non stick coating on the grill too

Great little stove
Used for a week long family trip. Worked great. I would recommend getting a griddle attachment for it unless you just use a pan. Works great for pancakes and french toast. I was able to get my coffee brewing as well, lol. It did have the weird dimpling that was mentioned in other reviews where it is screwed from underneath. However doesn't effect it at all. Great product.

Perfect for 2
We have used this grill several times now and I must say it has been perfect for making meals for two adults. We have used it for picnicking, camping and even at home on the patio. Packs away nicely as well in the car camping set up. More then happy with this purchase.

Grill problems
Bought this and figured I could use the hose and 20# tank on it as I do with my black stone I WAS WRONG. Same as my single burner from Coleman WRONG. These two things for some reason will not work off the hose but work with the 1# tanks . Second complaint is that the knobs/valves are crap !! Very little adjustment if your cooking on the grill and turn it too far and turn it off BECUSE AGAIN ONLY ABOUT 10% of the turn ACTUALLY DOES ANYTHING !!! urr in a bad way cus now u got hot food and u some how have too pick it all up too put a long lighter down too relight

My first propane stove
I bought this to replace my old Powerhouse liquid fuel stove, the type of which which I've been using since the boy scouts nearly 50 years ago. Wife, kids and grandkids could not quite master the "fill, pump, light, flip warm-up valve...and if you flood it, repeat" routine. Replaced it with this one; so much easier for everyone. Just twist on the propane bottle and go! (I'm an engineer, I miss the old routine of the Powerhouse to be honest!)

Really like this but needs griddle.
This is a great all around grill stove. But why they dont offer a griddle to fit where grill is baffles the mind. They thought this design though 75% of the way. With an optional griddle, would have been 5 stars.

Exactly what I wanted
I had been looking for a compact (car-style camping) propane grill that also had a separate burner unit. The Coleman unit was exactly what I was looking for at a bargain price. It was also very easy to assemble.

Aluminum grate melted
Junk. I have always loved coleman but after buying this and having my grate melt, no more. Sorry I did not take a photo before throwing the grate out but I was pretty mad at the time.

Grill works great!
I was able to grill my chicken and cook my green beans at the same time! Grill side is not made for cooking with pots/pans, it specifically states this in the instruction. This is why you see the “metal” melting in previous posts. If they had read the instructions they would not have a melted grate. Haha

Coleman Camp Grill/Stove
This Coleman Camp Propane Grill/Stove has been around for years and it is one of the best grills to have when you go Camping in the wilderness. You can cook just about anything on it. All you need is some propane and some food. It is easy to carry and easy to clean. It is small and compact so you can carry it just about anywhere you go even on a picnic. It is easy to start and dosen't use much propane to cook your food. I would recommend this Coleman Camp Propane Grill/Stove for anyone to try.

Great little stove
This stove is awesome. Took it on a weekend cabin trip with no indoor cooking, and used in 40 degree weather. Heayed all food and coffee up perfectly. Only wished i had gotten the one with the starter.

Adorable and USELESS
This was for a weekend outdoor getaway and it was useless because I put some potatoes double wrapped with aluminum foil on the grill and the grill grate melted rendering the grill useless.

good portable grill but not so great
We use this grill when camping and on our boat. It's a nice basic grill that grills up hot dogs and hamburgers very well. I wouldn't use it for complicated or long grilling items, that's not what it's designed for. It's a nice basic lightweight grill. The only negative is it does not grill well under windy conditions, it simply is too affected by the wind, such that it doesn't get hot enough to effectively grill in windy conditions, this is why I gave it 4 stars, not 5.

Cheaply made, grate melted.
I used this grill once and the grill grate mted when I was cooking some vegetables in aluminum foil. Grill lifespan-a out twenty minutes. Coleman is processing a warranty but with the same unit. I see many reviews and complaints out there referencing the same problem with this grill and Coleman insists on replacing it with the same model.

Heats unevenly and not durable
Bought the squirrel to use while camping in our travel trailer. Was confident it would work well as I have always supported the Coleman products. First use the handle broke/melted off! We were incredibly disappointed to find the heating terribly and even. Front and back of the grill do not heat anywhere near the same temperature while cooking. This also was a big disappointment. I’m returning grill because it just does not meet our needs whatsoever

Cooked many meals
Great little grill stove combo, we’ve had ours for over 10 years and cooked many meals camping. I bought the basic one with no ignition lighter to keep it simple, I see other posts of grills that melted, I will guess Colman has cheapened them after I bought mine if so shame on them, I also own a griddle with no issues.
