Just the addition I wanted for my kitchen set-up
I own the Coleman Cascade 3 in1 two-burner stove and this Cascade 18 single burner was a natural addition. So far, after several camping trips, I love both and can't find a single thing to complain about... I count on that not changing and enjoying their use for many decades to come; as I did with my old stove, recently donated.
I have a 5-gallon tank and keep it in a 12x12" milk crate to keep it stable. I've purchased a 'Y' to put on the tank fitting so I can run both stoves simultaneously. What I've asked, and not been able to get a definitive response to, is what are the exact fittings necessary to connect the hoses to the stoves rather than the 1 gallon can. Short of taking the stoves and accessories into a store and asking for help purchasing the parts, I've so far been sold fittings I've yet to find a useful purpose... but I've got them! When a few of us have asked here, Coleman's response is to recommend a hose. I've bought the hose, in fact two, but the fitting is not compatible. Much to my chagrin, I've purchased them at sporting goods stores nearest a camping spot, so I''m reluctant for my collection to grow. I'm going to call Cabella's customer service now, even though I was hoping to buy from Coleman. BTW, I was not able to order anything from Coleman as you can order from Coleman but must pay through their parent company, and with two people attempting, and 5 different credit cards, they were not able to process payment. We don't even try anymore, sorry Coleman. Sours a two-generation history. But since I wanted matching stoves (and must say it makes for a handsome kitchen setup) I'm happy with the purchase. That and the Coleman oven! The grates from the two-burner do work on the single burner, but as mentioned, lower Btu rating. There are others, but they all seem to have the same deficiencies as Coleman, basically lighter-weight metal. I've ordered a Huskey plastic bin which I hope will fit both the two-burner stove and carry case. For the single burner stove, I've used a Rothco Musset bag. Near size and big enough for some of the packing cardboard and table cloths, etc to also protect the stove. So far, so good.
