Cute and affordable
I bought this tent for a one week getaway and truly enjoyed my home away from home. I am a hard person to impress, but Coleman did just that. I loved that I was able to sleep in, loved the space and enjoyed the screen porch. Please make a cover for the screen porch so it stays dry when it ta rains. Even with this drawback I enjoyed this tent. Looking forward to using it for this year's camping trip. Kudos Coleman!

Claims tent keeps you dry
Love the tent part; hate the screened room area because it fills up with rain water and you have to mop it all up. I removed 40 cups of water from the screened room floor after one rain period.

Excellent tent with headroom!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent has almost everything you could want in a 6 person tent - space, ventilation, and protection from the elements. The dark color does seem to help keep it cooler - the weekend we took it out it wasn’t that hot so I can’t say for sure. The only thing to consider before buying this tent is the fact that one wall of tent is 2/3 netting so there is no privacy without the rain fly installed. That also means your tent is drenched if you have to set up quickly in the rain. That wasn’t a problem for us since we generally bail on camping if it looks like rain.

Super easy to put up!
I used this tent this weekend and I loved it! I liked the little floor mat before the screen room and how easy it was to put up. I’m still not sure about the back window being screen only and being unable to cover it up, but we had good weather and it was facing the trees. We didn’t have to use the rain fly yet. I did wish there was a peg to put down at the front center of the screen room to hold it down tight when you’re trying to pull the front zipper up. I also kind of wished there was a hook or net in the interior at the center top to hold a lantern like a tent I had when I was a kid.

Not at all what I wanted!
I got this tent because of the dark room technology and I read it's the best to have when canping in the heat. But I was sadly disappointed and very upset when I stayed one night in this tent and woke up hotter then it was outside.
•The rain fly attracts at if heat and bring into the tent which makes the tent 5-10° warmer then outside.
•Screen room doesn't keep out bugs the bottom mesh on floor allows bugs to enter.
•Personally I think the black walls make it hotter too.

Love the size of this tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I want to say that this is a great tent, the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I do not see how six adults could sleep comfortably in this tent. Four adults, yes that would work or even two adults with four little ones. That being said, we only have one kiddo left at home and it's only for a couple of years and then he's gone...this is a great tent for us to downsize with. When you zip up the side and front windows it does get very dark inside, even with the back open. Inside the tent, on the very top is a hook for you to hang a lantern. So nice, no more burning holes in the floor. With just two or three of us we could enjoy the inside if we had a rainy day. I also love the front porch, I have always wanted one. All we have to do is put in a couple comfy chairs and we can sit there and enjoy nature. The tent was pretty easy to put up...my husband did it in about 30 min., give or take.

Money well spent! Exactly what i needed!!
I absolutely love this tent!! This is the third summer using it and it has been thru strong winds, the cracking off the rain fly in the wind made me think it would be in shreds by morning.... It was perfectly fine and didn't unhook or shift anything. I love the room darkening feature and the porch! The sun isn't roasting you out in the mornings, and it's easy to sleep in. I use mine in South Dakota for two weeks in August with no shade so it is extremely hot in the sun, i like to take a nap for a couple hours till it cools off and i can do that with a couple portable fans and the windows open on the shaded sides of the tent. With my queen air mattress and all that room i can totally relax while I'm on vacation. I also like that depending on how you adjust the back rain fly over the mesh back wall you can get a breeze and fresh air from any side of the tent and still have privacy. I haven't had any rain while using it 🤞 yet but i have faith it'll be just fine! I like that the three zippers of the porch all meet in one spot, i put a smaller lock thru them and feel a bit more secure than someone ducking into my tent when i leave for a few hours, or at night when i go to bed.

Leaks and fills with water
This was for a our annual camping trip got a little bit of rain the first night and the whole thing just filled with water around all for the corners of the main tent flooded it ruined my camping trip

A perfect tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with this tent. It is perfect for camping and easy to assemble as well as disassemble. The black out feature is great. Makes sleeping so enjoyable and relaxing. It's tall enough to stand up and plenty of room for two air mattresses. The screened in front let's me set my chairs up and enjoy the view without the hassle of mosquitoes and flies. The dark room is perfect and it's very sturdy. I love it.

Absolutely crap :(
This tent has no back covering for the back window - the side windows have mesh and zippered covering and it only has a half door which has a zippered covering but the back has nothing - also you are kidding yourself if you think you can fit 2 x Queen mattress in it - breeze comes in all night and rain comes in under it

Does stand pretty strong winds as we had 30 mph winds. Only broke two setions of poles. Others lost entire tent.

Unbelievably easy and quick to erect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my own and found the tent so easy to erect. It really does go up in seconds but of course takes a bit longer to make it secure. The dark fabric definitely helps with the heat and early morning sun not waking you up too early

Worth the price, and durable.
Every June my family goes on a week long camping trip. I've had this tent for the last 4 years and of the 4 tents I've had this obe is by far the best. Not only does this tent stay cooler in direct sun than any of my past tents have in the shade, the interior stays bone dry even with a river of excess water running underneath it. It's quick and easy to set up, I can do it myself but a second person makes it easier, but I 100% recommend it and would 100% repurchase this tent!

Fast Pitch, um, 100% NOPE!!!
This tent is nothing more than a gimmick. The knuckles that the poles slide into have no real meaning. You actually have to tie the tent to the bottom, which makes no sense. The “rain fly” covers 2/3 of the tent. Two queen size mattress, sure, as long as you don’t bring anything else!!! Overall, 100% nope on this one. Oh, it does look really cool after the 20 minute set up!!!

Fairly dark

I was hesitant about trying this product since one of the main reason we don't go camping often it's because the sun lights filters in the tent but I decided to give it a try and I was very happy to discover that it's fairly dark inside so my kids and hubby don't wake up early.
The four of us fit perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We enjoyed ourselves in the CARLSBAD TENT 6P FP DARKROOM tent. It was easy to set up and lots of room to set up for a weekend camp out. Its also sturdy and strong.. can not speak on whether it's rain resistant because it did not rain.. The kids enjoyed it so much they set it up in the back yard to have another camp out. The set up is so easy the two of them had it set up in no time at all.

Neat and compact!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this tent! It comes in one neat and compact carrying case and is easy to fit in the car. The tent is not very heavy, is strong and well-made and is not hard to set up. The Dark Room Technology is nice because it keeps the bright light out and the tent doesn't get too hot. An added bonus is the screened room where I can store my extra things. I definitely recommend it!

Perfect for family camping trips!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Carlsbad 6 Person FP Darkroom in Ocean is perfect for our family camping trips. We have a large family and have to have more than one tent to fit all of us. The setup and takedown was easy and faster than our older tents. This new tent is perfect for the adults so that if we decide to (or better yet the kids actually let us) sleep in, the tent stays nice and dark instead of the sun peeking through bright and early. The screened in front portion of the tent was perfect for the adults having their camping chairs set up in and for us to sit and read or eat in without getting eaten up by mosquitoes or horseflies. It is definitely a nice feature. My husband and I decided that we like all the combined features of this tent much better than the others we have and we will continue to use this one for years to come!

Its definitely a good size for a couple or 4 people. The front of the tent has an extra space to put your shoes on without bringing dirt inside the tent and keeps the bugs out. Its easy to put up as well as take down which makes it easier to manage my time.

Great quality

It has lots of room in it to sleep 6 people comfortable with your stuff stored inside. The Blackout is very nice to keep it dark in the morning and also to help keep it cool during the day. I would highly recommend this product.

Very simple assembly
We got this tent a couple years ago and it has worked great we’ve only went on a few camping trips maybe three but each time the tent has held up very well and is extremely easy to put up and fairly easy to put away. The instructions are simple and straightforward and make it very easy to travel with.
