Skydome 8 person camping tent XL
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When looking for a camping tent that will fit a large family, The Coleman Skydome XL 8 person tent is all you need! First off, the set up is really quick. The poles are preattched and with two people it takes about 10-15 minutes. I think the setup time will improve once you have set it up a couple of times and get used to what goes where. The seams of the tent are reinforced, inverted and taped. This helps dramatically to keep the water out if it rains. The tent easily holds three queen sized airbeds and still leaves plenty of room for belongings and move around space. I absolutely love this tent!

WOW this Tent held up when the weather didn't

It said 5 minutes to set up well....not quite but Im not complaining I think the first time you set anything up it takes a little more time. But definitely not hard even for the non tent camper. This tent is nice and spacious, nice head room for a tent I could stand to put my jeans on, " I know some of you will appreciate that". Northwest mid Michigan June 25 2021 then it started to RAIN and Rain and continued to rain. The winds were gusting up to 70 mph at times. I was waiting for our tent to cave in from heavy downpours, flood, or blow away like a tumble weed. NOPE SHE HELD true in place but unbelievably the tent stayed DRY! Yes I couldn't believe it. Talk about a true test of stability, we had all the weather you normally don't while camping. Not only did we still have a tent but best part of all a dry tent. I still can't believe how amazing Coleman -
Skydome™ 8-Person Camping Tent held up to the massive weather we had. I definitely recommend this tent to anyone.

Let the Adventure Begin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing camping tent. It is so big that it fits three queen size air mattresses in it. My hubby who is almost six feet tall, can stand in the middle without any problems. It has air flow pockets around the tent, plus areas of storage spaces on the sides. It did take a little longer to put up the first time, but I think that is just because we were figuring out the flow of how to assemble it. Shouldn't take us much time to do it in the future since we now know what to do. Overall, I think my grandkids are going to have a blast camping out with this XL camping tent.

Spacious, easy to set up
We've taken this tent out twice now and we love it, taking it out again for a week-long trip tomorrow. Set-up isn't too bad for a tent this size. The attached-pole concept is great and definitely helps when packing it back up. The only thing, we wish the bottom of the sides of the fly (under the Coleman logo on both sides) had attached guy strings so we could guy the bottom of the fly away from the tent for (a) further rain protection and (b) better ventilation inside the tent. We can make that alteration ourselves, though. We ordered this one along with the Weathermaster 6-person tent and ultimately chose this Skydome over the Weathermaster. More space inside, smaller pack size, easier to set up.

such a cool tent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cool tent! The setup was super easy and everything was stored in a nice little bag. It was much more compact than I was expecting and it went right back into the bag when we were done. Its got plenty of great features like the big window in back for letting in more fresh air and light while keeping the bugs out. I am so happy with the storage pockets helping to keep my phone and other electronics up and easily findable. The head height is also impressive and I'm happy to be able to stand up and walk around with ease.

Good Pros and Cons
I bought this tent looking to sleep 4 adults on 2 queen mattress blowups and have room in the middle for 3 small dogs. It definitely was the perfect size for that as we put the beds on each side and a table in the middle with the dog beds underneath - the size was perfect. The tent does set up very quickly as others have mentioned.
We had a huge rain storm on our camping trip and it dumped water on us but we all stayed dry. When we packed up there was probably about 1/2 - 1 cup of water in little puddle spread throughout the tent (I posted photos) we were pleased with this.
My 2 big complaints are
1. The little flap that goes over the zipper to keep water out gets stuck EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. so going in the tent is kind of a pain.
2. Because the sides of the tent are slanted it doesn't fit 2 queen airbeds that well. With the beds on each side of the tent the walls are slanted so much that you can't use the last foot of bed closet to the wall without having tent literally on your face. You also can't push the mattress towards the middle of the tent more because then you would block the door. The photo looks like the airbed is shoved really hard in to the outside wall but it's not, it's just the walls of the leaning in too much. See photos. Because of this the next tent I buy I would look for either a longer tent or one that didn't have slanted walls.

Fast and easy setup/takedown and GREAT quality!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this over the weekend. Very surprised on how easy it was to set up. In 5 minutes, we were putting our bed and clothes inside. The only issue I had, which is my fault, was the zipper caught some fabric, and I tried to force through... took 2 of us to unbind it... but it didn't tear (proof for great quality zippers). It didn't rain on us, so I can't say anything about leaks. I was able to fit even a king sized air mattress inside and still have room to walk around. This tent is a must have!

Easy setup, great quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Coleman - Skydome™ 8-Person Camping Tent XL, Blue Nights, is a great quality tent that my family absolutely loves.
The tent is extremely easy to construct straight from the box and only took me and my wife approximately five minutes, the color coding made it extremely easy. The Fly does take a little bit of extra time, but nothing too complicated, this part definitely benefits from having a second person to assist as it can be a little fiddly.. I really like the permanently attached poles as they ensure that nothing is lost and they are extremely easy to pack and unpack. The material used is is great quality and as expected waterproof and the tarp like lining for the floor awesome as you don't need to worry about dampness coming through the bottom of your tent, it is also great as the one piece construction prevents bugs and mosquitos from sneaking in during the night. There is a vent and windows that ensure that you can stay cool during the night, I made sure that we placed the window in the direction of the wind to enable good airflow.
The tent is a great size (huge!) that really could fit three queen sized mattresses, but we chose to use one and this provided us with an enormous amount of space to store all our supplies whilst sleeping. Yes this tent is a really great size and tall enough for my wife and sons to stand up in (I am 6'3" so I can stand with a slight bend).
Packing up the tent is surprisingly easy and I actually like that it fits easily into its bag as other tents I have used in the past were difficult to return to their bag.
This tent is built to last and I can see us enjoying it for many years to come. This is a product that I thoroughly reccomend to others and I would definitely purchase again.
