A Lot Cooler!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little tent! I would have given it 5 stars if it didnt need a repair right out of the package. One of the corner straps where you put a tent stake was not sewn in right.
It's not a huge deal if you know how to sew like me, but I don't like having to fix a brand new item.
Besides that flaw this tent is great. The entire top of the tent is screen, if you want to leave the rainguard off you can get a good breeze going in there. Once you put the rainguard on, it is pitch black inside. It really does keep it cooler inside though. I put this tent up in the evening when it was 80 degrees, the tent stayed cool all night even with the front window flap open.
There was zero condensation on the inside of the tent in the morning, and it is very humid where I live. That is a huge plus for me because I have never had a tent that didnt get soggy overnight.
This tent is very roomy inside, it also has a multipocket flap on the inside for storing things in. It also has a little hammock for the ceiling for storing a light or some snacks.
The setup is very easy, I wouldnt say 5 minutes, maybe more like 15. Although I may be able to put it up faster the next time I have to.
All in all I think this is a great tent with nice innovations.

Awesome tent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Coleman 6 person Dark Room Skydome Camping Tent and it is amazing! This tent is huge! We can easily and comfortably fit two adults and three preteen kids inside. We also placed a blow up queen sized mattress inside to test and it still had plenty of room to move around. I love how easy the tent was to set up. The poles are built into the tent so no worrying about losing one in between uses. I also really loved the dark room feature. Once all zippers are closed it is pitch black inside, no light gets in at all. The tent is also very easy to disassemble and in spite of how large the tent is is very compact and easy to store. The quality of this tent is really great and I know we have a blast using it for quite some time! I would highly recommend this tent!

Superior quality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great find this tent was. I go camping a few times a year but always dreaded the set up. It took a couple of minutes longer than 5minutes but that's all. I think for me one of the greatest features of this tent is that it blocks the sunlight out. I love to sleep in late when I go camping. I also loved the side walls, lots of room to stand up and move around.

It was a little more difficult to put together than what was advertised. It took almost a half hour to get ot together not the five minutes it said it would. The dark room feature was fantastic! It worked as it said it would!

Not very durable
Sure the tubing is rated to 35 mph but the rain fly barely withstood 10. First trip we used it on and the fly tore in 2 places. This tent felt like it wouldnt withstand anymore wind then that. I am very disappointed as coleman USED to make good tents.

Coleman 6-Person Dark Room Skydome Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Colemans 6-Person Dark Room Skydome Camping Tent in color Blue is by far the best tent we've ever owned. It set up super easy, instructions were easy peasy. And it actually sleeps 6 people. I'm loving the dark Skydome cover so we can sleep later and not wake as soon as the sun rises. Very nicely made.

I’m actually annoyed enough to write a review. So this tent has a rain fly, any material under the rain fly is mesh, so it is super cold at night. We were camping last week in 90° weather, so we were frying in the day (because it retains the heat l) and we’re freezing at night because you’re in a covered patio rather than a tent.
The door is also poorly designed. The zipper keeps getting caught and there isn’t a tie back for it or screen. You have a little triangle pocket to stuff it into.
It also isn’t an easy 5 min put together as indicates. I’ve been camping my whole life and this was really fiddly to put together.
The only plus was the dark design, which really worked well. My toddler napped in the day quite peacefully.
Overall, it sucks though. Really poor for a Coleman and not worth the money.

Way to go Coleman
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this at perfect time. We did a backyard trip and campout. It was 3 kids and 2 adults and 3 animals. Room enough for everyone. Extremely easy set up in less than 5 minutes. Really awesome dark canopy which made it so dark in morning and that was great. We had great time and our kids didn't want to put it away when campout was done. The take down i swear was faster than putting up.

Great family tent - roomy, easy to set up, and dry
We've used this tent multiple times, from backyard camping to a weekend in PNW rainstorms and really appreciate its durability and ease of use. Keeping the sun out hasn't been a problem so I can't speak to that element of the Dark Room coverage, but we just got out of a weekend of coast rain and the interior of the tent stayed very dry. It was windy and I was worried about coverage on the side, but the fly held up excellently. It can easily fit an inflatable queen mattress, a Pack n Play, and another sleeping pad space with some room to spare!

Amazing tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the 6-Person Dark Room™ Skydome™ Camping Tent, Blue for a family camping trip. My family of 4 loved this tent. The removable top is amazing. If you have clear skies and remove the top it is like sleeping under the stars without worrying about mosquitoes, other bugs and critters. With the top on and strapped down correctly the dark room effect is pretty awesome. We were able to sleep in a little later than normal due to the darkness of the tent.

Loving this tent!

It does great at reducing the sunlight that gets in during the day and has plenty of room. I enjoy the wider door and the near vertical walls, makes it easier to get in and out of, and more spacious.

It doesn’t take long to set up and gave us enough room for all four of us to hang out inside. We had a light sprinkle while we were out and we did not have any water in the tent at all.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it's a real struggle trying to get it back into the bag it came in.... please make the bags bigger.

Affordable and durable!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely ecstatic about my 6-Person Dark Room Skydome Camping tent in blue that I purchased a month ago! This was the best purchase I've me in a long time! The room in it is beyond words! It's 6 foot tall in the middle and can sleep 6. It was so easy to set up and take down. There was plenty of room for our whole family and it's so durable. It even has a cover for rain and you can tie it down in case the weather gets bad. My children and my basset hound had the absolute best time camping and because this tent was so durable and easy to set up and take down, we had lots of time to enjoy our little vacation. We have decided to take another camping trip soon and can't wait to use it again. My son has some health issues and this tent has Dark Room Technology which blocks 90% of the sunlight and reduces heat in the tent, which makes it better for people that have issues with the heat. This works amazingly too, because my son stayed cool and we were able to enjoy our trip because of this. It's also been designed and tested for storm conditions, which helps me breath much easier knowing we are safe. The amount of room in this tent is unlike any tent I have ever seen. The carrying bag made it so easy to take along, the wide door design made it easier to get in and out of, the storage pockets gave us room to put stuff out of the way, and the detachable rainfly gave me peace of mind. I felt so safe and secure and could focus on my trip and having fun with the kids knowing we chose this tent! We love it!

Dark Room INDEED!!!
Bought this tent at a local retailer and LOVE the dark room technology and how roomy this tent is. We camped on Vancouver island in July 2022 and the fly kept the tent dark and cool so we could sleep in…..like until 10am!
CONS
- The 2 poles are permanently attached to the tent, this makes it tricky to get folded up and into the carry bag.
- The outside material on the door will jam in the zipper. Align the zippers where the 2 flaps meet and this seems to help with not getting the zippers stuck.
- Hard solo setup
Enough room for a single cot and double byob bed. We stashed our gear in a smaller backpacking tent when setup for longer than 1 night.
Can’t do a 4.5 star rating, I feel over time the Zipper will break due to catching in the door flap material.

Huge!

Easy to use!

Very Sad. My bad.
I bought this tent and had high hopes. Getting older I now car camp and thankfully also purchased a cot. I am glad I did because I am sure it saved me from drowning (just joking). This tent is not seam sealed and the fly is not large enough to protect the sides in a rainstorm. It has a bathtub floor. During my first night I had that rainstorm. The inadequate fly allowed the rain to run down the sides of the tent that did not have sealed seams. It leaked so badly that the bathtub floor did indeed act as a bathtub and allowed all of the rain to gather inside of the tent. I picked up my gear and placed it on my cot. The next morning, I had to literally bail the tent out. I have since purchased 3rd party seam sealer and applied it twice but am still hesitant to use this tent in any inclement weather.

AWESOME TENT
I don't have any experiences in camping. This is a new world for our family. I was impressed the quality and durability thus far. Easy setup. I only thing was the main Body Poles were found rusty and dirty on delivery suspecting that it was opened and used by priored customer. Reached out to customer service and in the process of getting replacement. Overall, I really like this tent and love the dark room technology. Hopefully it will hold up over time.

Did not withstand 20mph winds…
I’ve always raved about my 4 person dark room tent I’ve had since 2017 and this summer I decided to update to a 6 person to have a little more room. First trip in it there was a wind storm that had 20mph winds and our pole snapped and tore through the rain fly. We were severely disappointed as it is advertised to withstand up to 35mph winds. Although I did love the 4 person tent, I was very disappointed in the 6 person tent.

first time use and the pole breaks!
So yes- easy to set up. 5 minutes. that is true. Used it just this weekend. First night, it got windy- about 20mph gusts...nothing sustained. before i could even get in to sleep, the wind blew it over and the "corner bend" piece bent all the way over. i had to duck tape it to hold the remaining 3 nights. UGH!!!!!!

Best tent!

Like it but....
We've only used this tent 3 times. It says it can handle 35 mph winds, but in the badlands, it DID NOT hold up to 6 mph winds. Tent kept collapsing on us and ripped in 3 places. My kids use an Ozark trail tent with no issues at all. Picture added is with 8 mph winds. This is what we delt with the whole time.

The darkening syndrome allow one to have the tent darkened without too dark or off and full exposure. Also the door having a flap being without allowing bugs in is awesome too!

Affordable and Durable

Good tent if you intend not to be in ANY weather
I bought this tent for summer camping. I have used it twice and this last time one of the poles bent. We went with a large group with many different tent types and mine was the only one to not withstand the 20-30 mph winds. I hate to say it, but I'm moving from Coleman after this.
