Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Mantle Naphtha Lantern We live in the Canadian Arctic and use the land to hunt and fish a lot. Power outages are common. From many years of experience with Coleman Products the opportunity to purchase 3 Lanterns for my children for Christmas I couldn't turn down. The kids have their own housing units so I also included a 4 D Cell Coleman Battery with each lantern. This allows them to get set up. The lanterns are compact, efficient, economical and easy to use. Mantles and fuel are available at all Canadian Tire Stores and most hunting stores. The fuel is fairly cheap Next year the brood gets 2 Burner Naphtha Stoves so both appliances run on the same fuel. In the Arctic the Govt. subsidizes it. I would recommend getting a Coleman Lantern Container if you travel on an ATV or Snow Mobile. The Canadian Army uses Coleman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should last a long time... A smaller version of the type we used in the military but with one less mantle. Should be more than sufficient for our lighting needs out in the wild.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to last There's simply nothing that compares to Coleman liquid-fuel lanterns and stoves when it comes to durability. With minimum care and maintenance, they will still be burning strong long after we're gone to a better world. That's what the army uses in the Arctic - that's how good they are.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too big I was looking for a much smaller lantern to replace my vintage Easi-lite Model 222A, this lantern is way too big.
