Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the best wedding presents! The 425 is the closest model to my 413H. We got the stove and a duel fuel double mantle latern for wedding present from a group of my high school buddies. BTW, I have a life long luck of getting models of products that are the models that are rare and cannot get parts. Still waiting for models that are rare and worth lots of money. While local shop replaced generator 12 years ago, I bought a Coleman propane stove; also a model no longer in production. And don't get in line with me in any stores neither! Propane has nice even heat on both burners and gets used more. Still more fun and nostalgic to run the white gas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Portable Stove Ever My dad had one of these when I was a boy. It was great. You can buy gasoline anywhere. Gaz? Not many places. Forty years ago I bought one myself: took it everywhere - Red Sea coast, Sahara Desert, Palestine, Canada, USA, Russia... five years ago I bought another. It's the envy of all my neighbors who all want one too and half of them have gone ahead to buy their own. Wonderful product !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With minimal Proper care these are Long Lifed I have 2 Colman liquid fuel stoves 1 is 47 years old and the second is 35years old. By oiling the pump , and changing it them twice in all that time they still work great. The only other thing I did to them was touch up the paint where I let them get a spot of rust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thirty years old and stll going strong We bought ours in Brisbane Australia in the mid 1980s. Have used it extensively - many long sandy-salty camping trips on Barrier Reef islands. Plan to use it when camping at the Woodford Fdolk Festival in Queensland Australia this Xmas. It's rusty and soprt of falling apart, but still working fine - vastly better than gas. Want to get an up to date dual fuel version but it seems such are no longer stocked in Australia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best camp stove, better than propane. I have the vintage version of this stove and let me say, there's a reason they still make them. This stove is built like an armored truck and works wonderfully for cooking. One full tank of camping fuel (white gas) will cook many meals before needing filled again. These stoves fold to be the size of a suitcase so they're quite convenient for travel. They put out plenty enough heat, like comparable to a home gas stove, so you'll never have to worry about that. There's a bit of a trick to start one up, but once you do it, it becomes muscle memory (if not, there's labels on the equipment itself ). You will not regret owning one of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What was old is again new I bought a 425 stove at the factory store two or three years ago but have only used it twice. Why? Because this ORIGINAL 425 from the late 40s early 50s STILL works perfectly. When (if?) it wears out, I’ll start using the modern 425. Talk about longevity and reliability!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little stove Great stove for emergency backup, camping, outdoor gatherings and mostly for having fun and making memories. My Grandfather had one when I was young and I can remember the smell of breakfast cooking in the great outdoors 50 years later. Still a bargain, still American made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most useful camping equipment I am 60 yrs. old, and still have AND use the stove we bought used when I was 12 yrs. old. We have disassembled the burners and cleaned them, replaced nothing, but it still cooks our meals when camping; 30-40 weekends per year. I read the poor reviews listed, and determined that some people aren’t as intelligent as the equipment they are using. In cold and high altitude conditions, the tank must be pumped up frequently, especially if it’s full, but the stove is more than serviceable. The grill will rust( as any steel will) if left exposed to the elements over long periods of time, just like the BBQ grill left in the rain over the winter- even if it is stainless steel. The reviewer who burned the side, must have had too big of a pot on the stove, covering the side, not allowing the hot gases from the flame to escape up before hitting the side of the stove. Common sense just isn’t that common, especially in this era!!
